TRAVERSE CITY, Michigan, June 30, 2025 – Hagerty, along with its event partners, is proud to announce today that Cars at The Station, Detroit’s most inclusive and community-focused automotive event, is returning for its second year on September 19th and 20th, 2025 at Michigan Central – the tech, mobility and cultural hub for the Motor City and the State of Michigan.
Cars at The Station represents a coalition of talented groups with passionate teams that believe in building a community event that fosters inclusivity for the next generation of car enthusiasts. These local partners include:
• City of Detroit
• Michigan Central
• Newlab
• Detroit Auto Show
• Z-Performance
“Last year’s inaugural Cars at The Station event drew hundreds of cars and thousands of visitors, demonstrating that we had created a special event that the community and the auto industry wanted,” said Jiyan Cadiz, Hagerty Partnerships and Founder of Cars at The Station. “We knew we had to bring back this free event that welcomes all types of cars – in the Motor City’s most exciting location. We’re thrilled to announce Cars at The Station will be even bigger this September at Michigan Central, strengthening our community connections and celebrating our automotive future.”
Given the excitement and participation from auto enthusiasts, community members and a breadth of automotive brands, this year’s event will now span two days at the iconic Michigan Central campus and the City of Detroit’s Roosevelt Park.
“Celebrating car culture and helping to build on-ramps for enthusiasts through Cars at the Station in the Motor City is important to our members,” said Peter Fink, Hagerty Vice President, Events and Experiences. “This community-first event is one of the most unique in the country, bringing people together to experience all types of car culture, layered in with the auto industry and the future of mobility, plus local brands and nonprofit organizations.”

This year’s event features multiple activations across Roosevelt Park, Michigan Central Station and Newlab at Michigan Central that include exhibits, new vehicle ride-and-drives, taste of Detroit food trucks and more. Details for each area include:
Roosevelt Park: “Community & Cars powered by the Detroit Auto Show”

“For the Detroit Auto Show, community, car culture and getting together to share experiences and enthusiasm for vehicles and technology has always been at the core of what we do,” said Sam Klemet, Executive Director of the Detroit Auto Show. “Cars at The Station is an extension of the show’s commitment to create experiences that celebrate the Motor City’s love of vehicles in an amazing setting such as Michigan Central and Roosevelt Park.”

Roosevelt Park is the perfect location and naturally brings together Detroit’s most diverse and culturally rich areas including Southwest and Corktown neighborhoods.
The Station at Michigan Central
Committed to shaping Detroit’s mobility and innovation ecosystem for the 21st century, the newly restored station will serve as the setting for the main stage for music and entertainment across both days.
New for 2025, the event will feature a beer garden to further the hospitality and tastes of Detroit by way of local craft brews.
The interior of Michigan Central Station will be open during this year’s event, immersing visitors in some of the most influential architecture of the region, designed by the same architectural firms behind New York’s famed Grand Central.
Newlab at Michigan Central featuring VIP hospitality, plus RADwood Lite
At the heart of the innovation hub located on the Michigan Central campus, Newlab at Michigan
Central is the backdrop for members and partners developing new technologies and businesses shaping the future of mobility and the auto industry.
Available as an elevated ticket on Friday, the Cars at The Station VIP reception inside Newlab at Michigan Central will provide attendees an exclusive look at this cutting-edge innovation hub. Guests will participate in unique automotive and vendor experiences, as well as curated wine and spirits tastings.
